Developed specifically for Canadian children, SummerSmart is a 6-book series for use during summer vacation.  Each book is made up of eight units, with each unit comprising five learning components: Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and Arts & Crafts.  In the K-1 book, the components are Math, English, and Arts & Crafts.  You may let your child complete one unit each week within the summer vacation.  A “Hands-on” section at the end of the book engages your child in hands-on Math or Language games and activities.

The components are curriculum-based and provide systematic practice for consolidating what has been taught in the preceding year.
